American-Indian Fusion Wedding: Jenny & Neal
Jenny and NealΓÇÖs American-Indian fusion wedding is vivaciously colorful and bursting with rich tradition! From a full-fledged processional to a lime-green Lamborghini, this wedding is undeniably one for the books. Flawlessly captured by Martin Reardon Photography, the love these two share made for the most stunning event. Jenny and Neal are the definition of ΓÇ£go big or go home!ΓÇ¥
Jenny had double the choice to make when she was picking out her gown. Torn between whether she would wear a traditional Indian or American style wedding dress, Style 2220 came to her rescue with a happy middle!
ΓÇ£I spent 1 day shopping at ΓÇÿAmericanΓÇÖ bridal shops and 1 day shopping at ΓÇÿIndianΓÇÖ stores to help me decide what type of dress I wanted. The Casablanca dress was one of the last dresses I tried on, and it was selected by my mom and mother-in-law.ΓÇ¥
ΓÇ£It was the perfect combination of ΓÇÿtraditional AmericanΓÇÖ dress and Indian-style dress that I was looking for!ΓÇ¥
Jenny and NealΓÇÖs love story begins with Jenny moving to Philly and starting a new job, where she crossed paths with the man who would soon become her life partner!
ΓÇ£We met during my first week of work. I had been living in Philly for only a week and was looking for new friends. Over the next few years, he became my best friend and travel buddy, and eventually we started dating.ΓÇ¥
ΓÇ£He proposed during a memorable moment in Cabo, an event he put his heart into.ΓÇ¥
ΓÇ£He was my sidekick as we planned our wedding, incorporating family traditions from both sides of parents! After the wedding, we enjoyed a bucket-list honeymoon traveling the south pacific.ΓÇ¥
The Hindu-Christian ceremony served as a beautiful display of union, joining the two together with traditions from both sides of their families. What a meaningful way to enter into forever!
ΓÇ£We opted for a Hindu-Christian ceremony, and it was officiated by a former engineer-turned-priest. He did a great job conveying the meaning of each Hindu tradition to the guests, and included guest-participation at certain points which kept guests engaged during the long-ish ceremony, and also made things special for us!ΓÇ¥
ΓÇ£During the planning process ΓÇô focus on what is most meaningful to you, otherwise the process can be overwhelming. During your wedding ΓÇô be present and enjoy! Things will go wrong and backup plans only go so far."
"The most important things (people) are there with you, and at the end of the day you will be married and these are the things that matter most!ΓÇ¥
ΓÇ£He is my best friend in all the best ways. We enjoy spending free time together at concerts, movies, or traveling. Alternatively, he is strong when I am weak and vice versa. When the going gets tough, he comes through and I hope to always do the same for him.ΓÇ¥
Congratulations to the happy couple, and the beautiful union of both sides of their families!
