Describe your experience of saying “yes” to the dress!
“It was the second wedding dress I tried on, I cried. I tried on several other dresses but didn’t have an emotional connection to them. When I went back to my local bridal shop I cried again when I put it on so I knew it was the one!”
Tell us your love story!
“The first night we met was in High School at a party – we stayed up and watched the sunrise together. Last year we moved across the country together and spent a summer living on our roof tent in National Parks with our husky, Z (who was in the wedding as our ring bearer).”
What is your favorite thing about your husband?
“That’s hard to summarize. Probably our ability to be fully transparent with one another & that he loves / lives life with kindness that can be felt by those around him.”
What is your favorite moment from your wedding?
‘Oh, several! When we got to the base of the mountain a native American tribe was holding a ceremony asking the earth for rain and safe transportation for the salmon during the winter months. We wed the day before autumn equinox and there was an intense fog that laid over the whole landscape – the shift between summer and autumn was very visible. During our “I do’s” we accidentally kissed before putting the rings on. All of our family & friends flying from the east coast to Oregon, our first dance!”
Do you have any advice to other brides?
“Throw the rule book out – make it your own! And put your phone down for the entire day / be present.”
