Rustic Romance: A Woodsy Wedding in the Snow

Wedding Wednesday is our favorite day! Today weΓÇÖre diving into Bethany and JoshuaΓÇÖs cozy ΓÇ£I doΓÇ¥ day in the snowy forest.

Our bride began her wedding dress journey trying on dozens of gowns ΓÇô but none of them felt right! Just as hope was dwindling, Bethany and her mother decided to pay a visit to I Do I Do Wedding Gowns, where a consultant finally pointed her toward Style 2205.

ΓÇ£As soon as I tried it on, I felt glamorous but comfortable; and when the consultant put the veil on and gave me a mini bouquet, I knew that was the dress I could be a bride in.ΓÇ¥

Joshua and Bethany met while working as counselors in a summer camp in North Carolina, immediately hitting it off and becoming great friends.

ΓÇ£Neither of us were looking for a relationship, but as the weeks of camp went by and we got to know each other better, everyone knew we would end up together.ΓÇ¥

No amount of distance could come between the two! One day in particular, Joshua traveled from his home town in Mississippi to visit Bethany in Maryland.

ΓÇ£We were walking along the river when Josh stopped me, and we just stood there looking at the water. We always played a game, before and after we were dating, called ΓÇÿask me anything,ΓÇÖ and he said that to me as we stood there holding each other.ΓÇ¥

ΓÇ£ΓÇÖI canΓÇÖt think of anything,ΓÇÖ I laughed. ΓÇÿWell, I have a question for you,ΓÇÖ he said. It was then that I noticed my sister and her boyfriend a little way off with cameras, as he got down on one knee. He used my full name, and asked, ΓÇÿWill you marry me?ΓÇÖ I was SHOCKED! I kept saying, ΓÇÿAre you serious? Is this real? Are you serious!?ΓÇÖ I did also say yes!ΓÇ¥

When asked if she had any advice for brides-to-be, Bethany shared a word of wisdom.

ΓÇ£Invest more in your relationship then the wedding itself. The details will be forgotten, the food will get eaten, the favors will be thrown away, and the memories will fade. But the man you marry will be yours forever. Cherish him more than the wedding details.ΓÇ¥
