A Traditional Romance with a Festive Twist

Happy Wedding Wednesday from Casablanca Bridal! Today we feature the whimsical and festive details of Renee and Jason's traditional romance wedding with a twist.

We're getting the marry-go-round started as we 're whisked away by their carnival inspired wedding featuring the sweetly scalloped Style 2201!

Sometimes the look that's just right does not happen overnight. With a vision in mind, Renee scavenged several bridal stores to find the perfect dress.
"I had been to quite a few bridal salons, so was starting to feel a bit discouraged. Finally, I walked into a salon and saw Style #2201 hanging on display and said, 'Ohhh! I want to try that one!'. It immediately caught my attention," Renee retells.

Designed with sweet scalloped lace detail, the strapless fit and flare wedding dress was made from beaded lace over soft tulle. An eyelash trim adds a touch of feminine attention to detail as beads, sequins, and pearls adorn the dress throughout the silhouette.
"Once I put it on and saw how light and comfortable it was, paired with how gorgeous it was, it became my dress! We loved how the placing of the lace was so unique, and how the cut of the dress was modern and flattering to my tall frame."

A traditional romantic, Renee's now-husband asked for her father's blessing before popping the question. While doing so, Jason video taped his future father-in-law's reaction.
"Jason continued to do the same as he slowly but surely told the rest of my family that he was going to propose," said Renee as she re-told her proposal story.

Jason and Renee's carnival-inspired wedding set the perfect tone for nostalgia during their nuptials. To match the bright colors of the rides, prizes and games, Renee chose powder blue for her bridal party.

When it came to pictures, the mazes and mystic feel of the mirror house created a unique setting for bridal portraits before the ceremony.

When asked what her favorite wedding moment was, Renee says, "I will always remember walking down the aisle and seeing Jason get emotional. I started laughing at him! But then, my emotions caught up with me and once I got down the aisle, I was crying right there with him!"

As for bridal advice, Renee reminds future Casablanca Brides to own their wedding day: "Do what YOU want. Of course, the opinions of others are important and oftentimes necessary -- but ultimately you will be the one with the memories."
