Casablanca Customized: Style 2232 + Off Shoulder Illusion Sleeves
This #WeddingWednesday, we have a love story up our sleeve that will suit your rustic wedding needs. Colorado bride Alyssa Schiffer creates a #CasablancaCustomized masterpiece by adding off-shoulder illusion sleeves inspired by Style 2169 onto Style 2232 Tulip.
Alyssa unsuspectingly found her dream wedding dress while combing through the racks of Blue Bridal Boutique. After sampling several looks and styles, she was given Style 2232 Tulip from our Garden Dreams Collection to try on, and at first, it was a 'no deal'.
"I was apprehensive at first, but I tried it on and was in love. When I saw myself and my family and friends with me saw it there was a big gasp. It was the one. The dress was so big on me that the sleeves came off the shoulder which gave me the idea to custom make it with not only long sleeves but off the shoulder as well."
It felt a lot more like fate rather than fortune that Alyssa would say yes to a custom wedding dress, designed to her exact specifications.
As we know, a couple that plays together stays together. It didn't take long for Alyssa to know she hit jackpot when she met her now-husband, Rich over 8 years ago.
"We have a shared love for traveling, seeing live music and playing poker. He proposed to me during a live poker tournament at a local spot by our place. He rigged a deck of cards to come out a certain way and said 'I'm all in' and set the ring out on the table. I was so shocked and happy!"
The pair had a poker-inspired rustic Autumn wedding at the Boettcher Mansion in Golden, Colorado. Details of the couple's favorite game were crossed with classic rustic elements, including cards on their lantern centerpieces and a charming cupcake tower embellished with candy poker chips.
When asked what her favorite part about her husband is, Alyssa shared: "He encourages me to be the best woman I can be every day. He allows me to have independence while being there for me during the good and the bad. He is someone that can talk to anyone, and everyone is attracted to his charismatic personality."
When it comes to wedding planning, Alyssa's offers her own ace-in-the-hole advice to future Casablanca brides: "Let go of the little things. The little arguments, the little wedding details. Sometimes you just need to remember that you are marrying the love of your life, and that is all that matters."
