California bride, Mallory, recently married the love of her life, Jacob, in a beautiful ΓÇ£boho-chicΓÇ¥ wedding of her dreams. After many years of friendship and dating, Jacob and Mallory became soul mates. Whether they are going on incredible adventures to Mexico (where Jacob proposed!), or simply relaxing and watching Netflix, this couple has the time of their lives as long as they are together. So when their wedding day finally arrived, Mallory knew it was going to be special; it would be a day that truly signified their future lives together.
On the day of the wedding, Mallory decided to have two ΓÇ£first looksΓÇ¥ of her in the Casablanca gown she chose. This dress has a beautiful lace detail that she loved, and the dress fit Mallory perfectly. However, it was not until she saw her mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and friendΓÇÖs reaction to the dress that she knew it was the one. They all had tears in their eyes as Mallory wore the gown she would soon be walking down the aisle in. When she had the ΓÇ£first lookΓÇ¥ with her dad on her wedding day, she received the same reaction, and to Mallory, this moment was unforgettable. And although she was nervous this could take away from the look when she walked down the aisle, Mallory decided to have a ΓÇ£first lookΓÇ¥ with her soon-to-be husband, Jacob, as well. It was just as special. Being able to see each other before saying ΓÇ£I doΓÇ¥ was so calming and was a truly memorable moment from their wedding day.
We asked Mallory, now married for four months, if she had any advice for future brides. “Don’t get caught up in the minor details,” Mallory said. “Today is about marrying your best friend. That’s really all that matters.” Mallory also described how quickly her wedding day passed. Many brides spend months and months planning this special day, they often do not realize how fast the time goes. So, it is important to “get in those special moments with friends and family…and soak in those moments.” Your wedding day is a day you will want to remember forever. Like Mallory said, “this is your day, and you won’t get another one!”
