"Celebrate Forever" with Casablanca Bride, Cassie Paradis
In honor of Women’s Month, we are celebrating a few of our beautiful Casablanca brides by featuring their exclusive interviews on our blog every week ✨
We wanted to know:
-
How Casablanca bridal made their wedding day special
-
Why they chose to “celebrate forever” in one of our gowns
-
What makes them a strong a woman
Additionally, we wanted to share some sneak peaks of their beautiful weddings and how they brought their vision to life for their BIG DAY!
The first bride we will be featuring is Mrs. Cassie Zombeck! Not only is Cassie’s aunt one of our fabulous retailers at Blush Bridal New Hampshire, but Cassie’s wedding was also featured in New Hampshire’s Wedding of the Year!

How did you meet your husband?
“We met the summer of 2016. I was 19, and Cody 22. I was home from college and Cody reached out to me because he had a dream he broke his leg and I had to bring him to the hospital… little did we know a year into our relationship this would come true, and Cody would endure surgery and a long healing process. This actually sparked my interest in the radiology field, and I went to school for Radiology for the first 5 years of our relationship. With Cody being the best supporter, we were able to get our first apartment while I was in school, and then we bought a mobile home 6 months later. While at the mobile home we re-did the floors, walls, bathroom and kitchen so we could fix it up and sell it. We worked long hours on this project. Cody proposed to me at my graduation party in front of all of our friends and family. He had both my brothers involved in the proposal which was so special to me because we are so close with my brothers. With our hard work and determination with school, work, 3 dogs (at the time), new engagement and our dreams we were able to sell our first home and buy our forever home in Maine. We now have 11 chickens, 5 dogs, 4 cats, & 3 fish. After two years of planning the wedding, all while moving, selling, and going to school, we got married at Longlook Farm on October 8th, 2022.”
How did you select your perfect wedding venue?
“Our wedding was truly everything we could’ve dreamt of. With the help of our closest friends and family we were able to pull off a 4-day weekend that we will never forget. Every detail of the wedding was planned by Cody and I. When we went to Longlook Farm for the first time to tour it in 2020, Cody looked at me and said, “I want to marry you here.” We instantly fell in love; Longlook is centered around family and even your fur-family can be included in the 4-day weekend. We knew we had to do whatever it took to get married there. We picked a date and worked so hard for the 2 years we had to plan. We built our arbor, made our centerpiece jars that we found on our property after buying the house, made all our signs, planned the rehearsal dinner there, set up everything, and created our special day together.”

Looking back on the wedding planning process, what advice do you have for couples who are also customizing their dream day?
“There is no better feeling than being together at the end of your wedding day and realizing that all the hours, tears, and stressful nights put into planning this event paid off! It was a huge success. We all know planning a wedding on your own is stressful, but staying strong and focused on the end goal got us through it all. At times we felt crazy and asked ourselves if it was all worth it, and let me tell you, it SO worth it. You have to remember the day is about the two of you becoming one, and that is all that matters. We were amazed with what we were capable of and how much effort we put into our special day.”
What is your next step in “celebrating forever” together?
“Now that we are married, our goal is to focus on home renovations, continue doing what we love to do, enjoy new experiences and living each day full of love and gratitude. Our drive and hard work are what our relationship is built from. We will continue to conquer life’s adventures together, including our biggest adventure yet: our first baby coming August 2023! We just found out this weekend that we are having a girl!”

“We are so thankful for everything we have gone through this past year. The last 7 years together have been a crazy experience to get to where we are today, and we are loving our first few months as newlyweds. We could not have done it without our family, friends, and amazing vendors.”
How did Casablanca bridal make your wedding day special? Why did you choose to celebrate forever in one of our gowns?
“Casablanca made my wedding day beyond special because it was a seamless and breathtaking experience. I always dreamt of having a big sparkly dress but also one that was easy to move around in all night. I knew that the option to create a 2-in-1 dress was exactly what I needed and that was made possible by Casablanca Bridal. Customizing my dream dress was so much fun. We would tell the creators/editors to add to the train and instantly see what it would look like. I was so excited each time I got a sketch and I ended up having two sketches: one for each dress! I could not believe how amazing it all came out. The final product was Beloved’s Style Stevie with Casablanca’s Katalina 2394 skirt plus a 12” train! Designing from a sketch on paper is a very “trust the process moment,” but seeing it all come to life is what I wanted the dress to be about. Feeling my absolute best and confident in my dress meant everything to me.”

“Choosing to “celebrate forever” in a Casablanca dress was the easiest decision I ever made!”
“My husband even said, “it’s like you were the shining chandelier in the room!!” After feeling stuck in “one” option while trying on other dresses, I knew I made the right decision to customize my dress. I got the best of both worlds.”
What drew you to our company? Was it that our company values aligned with yours?
“Casablanca Bridal, being a privately owned factory, means that you are getting the attention you will need from start to finish. I did not want a dress that was mass produced, I wanted something so unique that it has never been done before. Having a dress that is “one of a kind” is truly the best feeling a bride can have. Being treated like you are a one-of-a-kind bride by Casablanca makes you feel so special and not like another number. On their website it says:
“Every Casablanca gown is made to order one at a time. We take great pride in the fact that we do not mass-produce our bridal gowns. Each gown is unique from the hand beaded designs & exquisite laces, to the fit and customization for every bride's specific needs.”
“When I read that I knew this company was what I was looking for!”

What makes you a strong woman and how do you empower yourself and the women around you?
“I believe a strong woman can have many roles! There is not one specific quality that makes a strong woman because we are all so different and special in our own way. Being resilient and proving to yourself that you are worthy and stronger than you think is important. When we surround ourselves with women who empower us and want the best for us, we can have positive relationships and lifestyles as a result. I try to always keep my mind open and my listening ears on, offering support when support is needed, and cheering people on around me so they can succeed. Having an open heart and being loving to everyone makes me a strong woman.”

Thank you, Cassie for participating in this interview! Your love story is an inspiring example of what it means to “celebrate forever”. Our team at Casablanca Bridal is so honored to have you represent our brand as a Casablanca Bride. We wish you many years of joy and happiness as you embark on this new adventure as parents! Congratulations on all that is to come.
