A Colorful Courtyard Ceremony in Pastel

This Wedding Wednesday, we are celebrating the marriage of #CasablancaBride Carly Del Carlo and her beloved, Joe Marshall. Pulling inspiration from the romantically natural pastels from the adobe mission architecture in the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, the wedding was both romantically intimate and incredibly picturesque.

Carly said 'yes' to Casablanca Bridal Style #2163 as her wedding dress. Layers of non-beaded and embroidered lace on tulle over a Silky Satin lining with multiple layers of horse hair trim hold the integrity of a full mermaid silhouette.

For a touch of romance, the eyelash fringing and scalloped lace create an organic edge along the front and back necklines, as well as the entire hemline.

Carly customized her Casablanca Bridal gown by adding a bit of dip to the neckline for an added touch of feminine flirtation. The rest of the gown fit like a glove, giving the bride an angelic look as the layers of her dress and wedding veil danced with the Santa Ana winds.

Carly and Joe knew each other for twenty years growing up, going to the same Sunday school. As life drifted them apart to different directions, the pair reconnected on Facebook in 2015.

Just as they say, "When you know, you know," and within less than a year, the fated couple was engaged. "He is my best friend and the person who makes me see the beauty in every day. He is the best person I know."

When asked what advice she'd give to future brides, Carly answered, "Go with your gut and heart when choosing a dress. Take time to enjoy the details and the planning. It's a once in a lifetime day!"

"Even if you don't do a first look (we did not) take time to talk. We prayed and talked to each other behind a doorway 30 minutes before the ceremony and it helped keep me calm and at peace."
