Happy Mother's Day!

"A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take."

Happy Mother's Day weekend from all of us here at Casablanca Bridal! Over the years that we have been selling our gowns, we have seen and heard stories of so many amazing moms and special grandmothers out there. Sometimes, it is a mother-in-law who a bride is sharing a beautiful moment with. Other times, the Casablanca bride herself is a mother, and has found a loving husband to complete her family. Often, the stories include a mom and/or grandmother who accompany the bride during her dress shopping experience.

We wanted to showcase some of these lovely moments from our brides with all of our blog readers in order to honor these mothers. Though they represent just a small population of all the caretakers out there, we send sentiments of appreciation to all.

Nadine, another Casablanca Bride, said, "I went shopping with my Mom and my 92 year old grandmother. I put this dress on first and as soon as I walked out my grandmother said 'thatΓÇÖs the one.' Every dress I tried on after that she said 'the first one is it.' I think we all knew the second I put it on that it was 'the dress.'" Casablanca Bride Nicky met her husband a barbeque with friends. "My two year old daughter attended with me, and she instantly went to this guy and handed him a book and climbed on his lap. He sat there the whole day and read the same two books to her. There were several guys at this party and she was only interested in him. After meeting his family, they explained to me that he never wanted children, or to get married. I couldn't believe it! He is an amazing husband and an even better stepdad." mothers-day mothers-day

Elena wrote to us of her husband Chris: "Our first date was at Starbucks. We clicked almost instantly and spent pretty much all of our free time together from that point on. My son was 4 at the time, and Chris fit right in with our little family. Another part of the ceremony that I loved was Chris making vows to Kadin. We wanted to include him in our wedding since it wasn't a union between just the two of us, but all 3 of us. It was so incredibly sweet and I don't know if there was a dry eye in the house!" bridal-gowns bridal-gowns
