Combining vintage romance with bohemian vibes, Casablanca Bride Rachel married the love of her life behind a field of flowers and vines at the Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens. While picking the perfect wedding gown for her special day wasn't a quick and easy process, Rachel was thrilled with her experience.
There's something magical about finding, "the perfect fit-- much like a fairytale princess. "It was so thrilling and exciting... the one time I felt like a true princess, trying on gorgeous gowns and twirling in front of huge mirrors...Surrounded by my best friends who know me and my style."
The bohemian bride on the hunt for her bridal gown had booked several appointments with many vendors before stumbling across Style #2226-- "...the hundreds of dresses we saw lead us to this stunning gown," Rachel recalled.
The non-beaded lace was just the look for her boho wedding. Choosing nude as her color gave the dress a nostalgic worn look that added a hint of vintage romance to her bridal ensemble.
Rachel and Brenden had known each other for a long time, having grown up in the same hometown, only to be led of separate paths during their college years.
A reunion of friends brought the pair back together, leading to an awkwardly quiet dinner date with both Rachel and Brenden nervously picking at their food.
The ice was broken when later that evening, Rachel and Brenden met up with mutual friends at a karaoke bar, where Brenden took the stage to playfully perform classic 90's hip-hop tracks, in hopes of bringing a smile to Rachel's face.
Love was in the air and the pair had been inseparable since. After a little over a year of dating, Brenden asked the big question in front of the company of their families.
The nostalgic bohemian details of Rachel's wedding beautifully complemented her free and fun loving spirit. Handpicked wildflowers adorned adorably vintage furniture and frames. As soon as the two said 'I do,' festivities were well underway. If guests weren't taking photos at the charming vintage photo booth, they were dancing the night away with the bride and groom.
It's true when many brides say that while beautiful, smaller detail seem not to matter as much, however a detail that all brides do look back on is the gown she married her best friend inWhen asked what her advice is to future brides, Rachel suggests taking time in the process of picking out a wedding dress.
"Try on hundreds of gowns if you have to. It's really true that you just 'know' when you try 'the one' on."
