Styled Shoot: Hints of Hollywood
Many wedding vendors help hone their skills, build their portfolios, network and collaborate by putting together what is known in the industry as a styled shoot. Essentially, the team gets together to decide upon a theme, then runs with the inspiration to create a mock wedding that really embodies the look they are attempting to achieve. Many of our local retailers participate in styled shoots with vendors in their area to help drive awareness to their store. We were super excited to receive this styled shoot submission from our store TLC Boutique in Maryland. Today, we develop the story behind the images, and share the details to help inspire your wedding, should you find yourself relating to a similar aesthetic.
Our styled shoot begins with a stunning bride. This blonde beauty is reminiscent of a glamorous Hollywood actress with her blonde waves and timeless beauty. Surrounded by richly colored blooms, and adorned with an equisitely unique vintage diamond wedding ring, we envision that she was an up and coming actress who happened to fall in love with a fellow artist whose path crossed with hers in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
This groom is equally passionate about his bride and his guitar; in fact, he is rarely seen without his instrument close at hand. She loves to sit and watch him play as he allows his love story to inspire the new songs that he writes. She attends his weekly residency at a small local bar, and sings along with all the words to all of his songs. Incorporating music into their special day was a given.
Touches of gold embellish the wedding details, to emulate the luxurious lifestyle of Hollywood artists. However, as a couple from humble beginnings, the scene is not over the top. We love the chic and classy hints of Hollywood. Even if the story we have conceptualized behind this styled shoot is not you and your fiance's reality, it is still easy to relate to the gorgeous details in this wedding, allowing them to inspire your special day.
This lovely lady is wearing Casablanca Bridal Style 2224, one of the most popular gowns from our Magnolia collection. Beaded lace appliques on tulle make this gorgeous fit and flare silhouette simply stunning. The bodice has corset boning showing through, and the waistline is accentuated with a sprinkle of beading. The hemline is finished with scalloped lace and a thick layer of horsehair tirm, which provides structure. Shown in the gorgeous Silver Blush/Ivory/Silver color combination, this dress can also be ordered in champagne, white or ivory. It is available in sizes 2-28 for petite and traditional cuts, as well as 16-32 for curvy brides purchasing from our classic fit collection.
Other vendors involved in this shoot included camerawork by Pearly Kate photography, jewelry and makeup by Heather Rea Style Studio, robes and undergarments by Impish Lee, stationary and wedding branding by June Mango, the cake by Sister's Bake Shop, and flowers by Blossom and Basket florals. The venue was Holly Hills Country Club.
