Describe your experience of saying “yes to the dress!
“A few of my best friends, my godmother, my sister, and my mom joined me to search for the perfect dress. Suite Bridal in Atlanta was only the second store I visited, and the attendants were amazing in helping me find a dress that matched my venue and vision for my wedding. I originally did not think I would want such a form fitting dress, but knew my Casablanca dress was the one when I put it on!”
“As my mom told me later, it was the only dress I wanted to hug goodbye I loved it so much! I didn’t want to leave it in the store! The dress combined many of the features I was looking for in a dress, and I could immediately envision it at Lowndes Grove Plantation, my venue!"
Tell us your love story!
“Steve and I met in Ann Arbor, Michigan while attending the University of Michigan. Although both in the same professional fraternity, we never spoke until introduced by my best friend Kelsey at a ‘barn dance.' Steve graduated before I did, and we endured over two years of long distance before he joined me in Washington, DC.”
“He proposed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. after we saw the Swan Lake ballet, and surprised me again with a group of our friends and sisters at a restaurant after!”
What is your favorite thing about your husband?
“His sense of humor and intelligence.”
What is your favorite moment from your wedding?
“Steve and I wrote our own vows for each other. I was so stressed and anxious before the wedding, and Steve opened his vows with a funny phrase he greets me with every time I come home. It immediately made me burst out laughing, and all the stress I had before the wedding melted away! I knew then that I was the luckiest girl in the world to be marrying him!”
Do you have any advice to other brides?
“Practice self care. Whether that’s a regular workout or hobby, it’s good to have a wedding stress-buster! Don’t be afraid to have a destination wedding! 100% of our guests flew in and everyone was so excited to explore our ‘happy place.’”
